Community Services Program

Independent Living Program

The Independent Living Program focuses on helping young adults, male and female, 18-21 to develop necessary life skills for transitioning from dependence to independence. The program serves young adults who have been committed to the Department of Community Based Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice and are currently still under commitment, or have aged out of the system. These young adults need structure, but in a less restrictive environment where they can learn to become self-sufficient. The young adults reside in apartments located in Fayette County and receive Case Management services, as well as an on-site manager to assist with emergencies and other related issues.
