Although our lives as we know it have changed dramatically, we at the Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes are standing firm in our faith that God is walking with us and before us through this pandemic. Our mission remains to serve Christ by providing for the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of children and families.
In light of the CDC and Governor Beshear's recommendations for disease prevention through social distancing, please note the following:
We are floored by our churches' response to the March 5th Sunday Offering. You have supported our kids faithfully and sometimes sacrificially, giving during uncertainty in our church and in our world. Thank you! Let us know how we can pray for you, your family and your church.
We are postponing the next 5th Sunday Offering of 2020 from May 31 to June 28.
We believe this is our best course of action due to continued social distancing guidelines impacting our campuses and Kentucky churches. We hope this will give you time to determine the best ways to lift up our children in whatever form your church is worshipping.
Downloadable resources are now available!
We will have a digital bulletin insert, short videos, graphics for email/social media and other resources available to you. We encourage churches who are meeting in person to use the envelopes and bulletin inserts mailed for the March 29 5th Sunday Offering, if possible. If you have questions or concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In this time of social distancing, we know you are finding exciting, creative ways to continue meeting with your congregations. Let us know how we can support your efforts!
Please consider spreading the word about KyUMH and 5th Sunday through your church's email newsletter and social media with our digital resources.
