Coronavirus Updates & 5th Sunday Materials

Our Response to COVID-19 and Digital Resources for 5th Sunday

"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33

Although our lives as we know it have changed dramatically over the past week, we at the Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes are standing firm in our faith that God is walking with us and before us through this pandemic. Our mission remains to serve Christ by providing for the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of children and families.

In light of the CDC and Governor Beshear's recommendations for disease prevention through social distancing, please note the following:

March 29 5th Sunday Resources

This is an unprecedented time for our church. We are praying continually for our conference and church communities as they adapt to new ways of worship, and rejoice at seeing God's hand at work!

This is also an unprecedented time for KyUMH's upcoming 5th Sunday Offering on March 29. This 5th Sunday is one of four this year, meaning it represents 25% of this critical source of income for KyUMH. Our shared ministry of caring for hurting children is dependent on these offerings.

In this time of social distancing, we know you are finding exciting, creative ways to continue meeting with your congregations. Please consider spreading the word about KyUMH and 5th Sunday through your church's email newsletter and social media with our digital resources.

Donations can be made directly via mail to 1115 Ashgrove Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356, online here and by texting "5thsunday" to (855) 735-2437

The Epicurean Experience

The CDC recommends all community events within 8 weeks be cancelled or postponed, and are making plans to reschedule the Epicurean Experience for later this year. Please check back at this page and follow us on Facebook to receive future updates.
