Give for Good Louisville 2024

Give for Good Louisville, hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville, is a great opportunity to support Kentucky youth! This annual day of giving promotes organizations that make a difference in Louisville.

The Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes has a deep history in this part of Kentucky. Our very first building, which provided a safe home for widows and orphans 150 years ago, stood on 4th Street in downtown Louisville. Last year, 25% of all youth KyUMH served called the Louisville area home.

Making a difference for youth in Louisville & across Kentucky

Thanks to you, we can make a difference for youth like Tristan*. We met Tristan this year through our community-based services. Tristan was facing a lot of challenges in his life, but he felt determined to change his life for the better. Mental health and financial struggles in his family meant that he regularly missed school to care for his three younger siblings and his mother. He would often say, "I am not a product of my environment. My environment is my motivation for change.”

With our support, Tristan was able to make meaningful change in his life. This past spring, he improved his school attendance and has graduated from high school. He is now working and plans to enroll in college next year. He has successfully graduated from our services and we know he has great things ahead of him!

How to participate in Give for Good Louisville

Click on this link to view our donation page. Gifts must be made here and not on our website to be eligible for prize money.

• September 12: Give a gift of any size to help KyUMH win extra prize money up to $20,000!
  • One random first-time donor will have their donation boosted by $1,000.
  • Be the very first person to give at 12:00 AM and have your donation boosted by $1,000.
  • Create your own fundraiser and set a goal your family or friends can contribute to.
  • 7:15pm - 7:17pm ET has been designated "The Greatest Two Minutes in Giving." Give a gift then to enter KyUMH to win a prize $5,000, $10,000, or $20,000!
• September 9-11: Can't make it on the 12th? Give an early gift (not eligible for prize money).

The most we have raised for Give for Good is $8,600. Let's see if we can break our record this year!
